These Terms govern the relationship between Bitemark Interactive ("we") operating bitemarkinteractive.com (the "Site") and the person using the Site ("you"). By using the Site or creating an account, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.
The Site is the promotional and community site of an independent horror game studio. No sales, payments, or commercial transactions occur on the Site; the promoted games are free. The Site offers a devlog, community, and comment functionality.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or create an account. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are over 18. This threshold reflects the mature themes (psychological horror) of the promoted game and data-protection law.
You are solely responsiblefor any content you post in the community and comment sections. You may not post unlawful content, content infringing others' rights, harassment/hate, spam, or misleading content.
Any content you share on the Site may be freely used by Bitemark Interactive for any purpose, including marketing and promotional materials, without additional compensation. The copyright ownership of your content remains with you; however, all copyright liability arising from that content rests solely with you.
You are solely responsible for the content you share. Bitemark Interactive accepts no liability for user-generated content. We reserve the right to remove any content from the Site at any time at our sole discretion.
Community posts and comments pass through automated moderation before publication or after update. When the moderation service is temporarily unavailable, content may be held for review even if it appears clean (fail-closed approach). Reports from a certain number of distinct users may place published content under review. We reserve the right to approve, reject, hold, archive, or remove your content.
The following are prohibited: posting unlawful content; harassing/threatening others; spam; attempting to bypass the Site's security measures; automated/bot abuse; unauthorized access to others' accounts; placing excessive/harmful load on the Site's infrastructure. Such conduct may result in automated rate limiting and temporary blocking.
You may report content for specific reasons (spam, harassment, rules violation, off-topic, disparagement, other). Reports are reviewed; the reasoning for the outcome may not be separately communicated to you. You cannot report your own content. The reporting function may not be abused (rate limits apply).
The Site itself, its design, brand, and the promoted game(s) and all related intellectual property rights belong to us or our licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or create derivatives of these rights without permission. Rights regarding user content are governed by Section 5.
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." No warranty is given that it will operate uninterrupted or error-free; there is no uptime/SLA commitment. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the Site.
For content or conduct violating these Terms, we reserve the right to remove content, restrict your account, or terminate access. Automated abuse protections (e.g., temporary IP block against failed login attempts) apply.
The Site uses third-party infrastructure providers to function (details: Privacy Policy, Section 7). These providers' own terms and outages may affect Site availability.
We may update these Terms. The current version is published on this page; the effective date appears at the top. Continued use after a significant change means you accept the updated Terms.
